About Us
At the SHINE Skills for Life Center, we provide tailored support for unique learners and their families.
Inspired by our passion to facilitate whole-person growth for individuals with varying learning differences and their families we aim to give each child the opportunity to learn and grow to their fullest potential, supported by their learning style, interests, social emotional needs and individuality. In an effort to reach every learner and honor their unique abilities we expand ourselves utilizing cross-modality support rather than to any single style of instruction. We learn from our clients what the best way to teach them is and create a truly tailored program.
Acknowledging that your child is an extension of your family and community we provided ongoing guidance and include parents to help generalize mastered skills across various settings and adults guaranteeing that their hard work will benefit them long term and where it matters most, with you at home, with friends at school and in their community.

It’s too bad insurance doesn’t cover intuition but Maria is worth it. She knows how to really work with our son so he can focus better and have more self-regulation to learn. Even school says they see him doing better. We have seen more progress in the last 6-7 months of weekly sessions then we’ve seen from 4 days a week of home providers in 3 years. Maria takes the time to address our concerns and gives us tips that we can use at home to help him. We are very lucky to have found her.
